I was seen by a lovely nurse first who took my blood pressure and ask relevant questions. Then I was seen my a doctor who I cannot remember the name of but he was a short black chap. He was ace! I was given clear information on what was going on and was very satisfied with the care.

My parotidectomy operation was in September 2015. I stayed on the Clayton ward. I prepared myself for a 'not so nice stay' in hospital, influenced mostly by what I read in the media and a less than satisfactory stay in 2008 directly after the birth of my daughter. How wrong could I have been. Although the ward was very busy, I was always fully attended to with observations being on time and nurses appearing straight away when I pressed the call button. Food and drinks were plentiful and available according to schedule. My stay was made even more better as I had my own room, I really, really appreciated this and was told that this was just down to luck of the draw. I was treated with respect and courtesy at all times and was not kept waiting or wondering what was happening. I far cry from my experience in 2008 on the maternity ward. I would like to thank all the staff on Clayton ward for making my stay (Sept 2015) as pleasant an experience as possible.

I have been under Mr Eng for the past two years. He has been a very kind and understanding consultant and has gone out of his way to help me whenever he can. I have had successful FESS and polyps surgery on my nasal passages and have then had a periodic review with Mr Eng at clinic. On each occasion Mr Eng has been extremely punctual and always takes a great deal of care to make sure that I understand what the current situation is and how we should best proceed. My periodic reviews have now ceased but Mr Eng has already put in place a procedure whereby I will be able to see him again at relatively short notice should my nasal problems re-occur. It is nice to see a consultant that always makes the time to talk things through to ones entire satisfaction. You should be very grateful to have a consultant of Mr Eng's calibre working at Lincoln County Hospital. I should add that it was only with Mr Eng's assistance that I was able to be fast-tracked to the respiratory clinic where my asthma was diagnosed.

We were made to feel like it was the only birth going on in the hospital. The midwives were incredible with many staying late after their shift to assist with early stage breast feeding and baby care. Those who deserve a mention are, Moira, Bev, Sally, Bernie, Hannah and Julie

inconsistant care, medical issues overlooked, staff too busy to help, diabetes medication forgotten, this is the worst hospital me or a member of my family has been treated at
